I’ll dump this quote right here;
Vincent J. M. Di Maio, GUNSHOT WOUNDS: Practical Aspects of Firearms, Ballistics, and Forensic Techniques SECOND EDITION, Page 150.
Dr. DiMaio is one of the world’s leading experts on wound ballistics, yet I have seen people argue that this statement is not true, because someone told them about “the MOROS!!!!!” in the Philippines, or some such thing.
Sorry, there are no magic bullets, even legendary one with lots of legend attached.
I note that all of the really serious guys I know worry not one bit about the newest ninja ammo, the kind with flames, and SWAT guys rappelling on the box, but want ammo that’s reliable. That’s the number one consideration. After that they work on being able to put bullets where they need to go to solve the problem at hand.
One of the stupidest things to happen to defensive pistol training is the whole “a 9mm is a .45 set on stun” and other such BS. It needs to stop. And frankly, it’s a complete failure in mindset.
